Panerai Luminor GMT Arktos

12,500 miles (20,000 km) travelled on foot or on skis, in a sailing boat or in a kayak, to achieve the solo circumnavigation of the Arctic Circle: a feat which bears the name of Mike Horn, the South African explorer who has triumphed in the hard challenge of man against nature, achieving success by overcoming every kind of difficulty.
On his wrist, the Panerai Luminor GMT Arktos, automatic mechanical Panerai OP VIII calibre with COSC Chronometer Certificate. Black dial with luminous markers and Arabic numerals, small seconds at 9 o'clock, indication of second time zone on the outer edge. Panerai Luminor 1950 8 Days

The Angelus 8 Days movement, adopted by Panerai in the 1940s in order to supply the Italian Navy with a time-measuring instrument which was as reliable and accurate as possible, is revived and consecrated in the Luminor 1950 8 Days.
A solid movement of outstanding reliability, it is large in size and has a feature which has become a distinctive trade mark of Panerai: the small seconds dial at 9 o'clock, in a position directly opposite the winding crown.
Now the Angelus calibre lives again in a strictly limited series of 150 units recovered from the past. The movements have been completely restored to new condition, with all parts being overhauled or renewed. The style of the leather strap also recalls the Panerai's position as a supplier to the military, with the highly visible sewing enhancing the sports character of the Luminor 8 Days. Panerai Luminor 1950 Chrono Flyback

The Panerai Luminor 1950 Chrono Flyback represents the perfect synthesis of sports functions, personal style and reliability because it combines the technical content with a modern and sophisticated character, perfectly expressed by the simplicity of its lines.
The imposing dimensions of the case are balanced by the alternation of polished and brushed surfaces, the strongly cambered crystal, and the device protecting the winding crown, the longstanding patent and trade mark of Panerai which elegantly incorporates the chronograph push-pieces.
The movement is a special version of the Panerai OP XIX which, apart from the typical indications of the simple chronograph, has a further function: permanent zeroing, otherwise known as flyback. The case is water-resistant to a depth of 100 metres and the beauty of the movement is visible through the sapphire crystal window in the back. Ref PAM 00212 800 Units
Panerai Luminor 1950 Chrono Rattrapante

The Luminor 1950 Chrono Rattrapante represents an important evolutionary moment, insofar as it adapts the constructional system of the Luminor 1950 case and adapts it to the new functional demands.
The case features rounded edges and, above all, a smoothly rounded bezel of smaller size if compared to previous models, which enhance the sober and unique style of this sporty watch.
The sapphire crystal too is unusual, with accentuated cambering of the edges, achieved by working the synthetic sapphire internally.
The chronograph push-pieces are successfully integrated in the device protecting the winding crown, while the push-piece for the split-seconds function is positioned at 8 o'clock.
The sapphire crystal back reveals the Panerai OP XVIII calibre, an automatic movement, created exclusively by Panerai and distinguished by the system of operating the chronograph functions through twin column wheels. To emphasise the rigorous style of the Luminor 1950 Chrono Rattrapante, a strap made of a technical material has been chosen, which successfully epitomizes the technological content of the watch. Panerai Luminor Marina Militare

Panerai is returning to the theme of a special series devoted to the men in uniform with the 2005 edition of the Luminor Marina Militare, a re-edition of a design for left-handers dating back to the 1940s but features a different case, the Luminor 1950 type.
The Luminor Marina Militare stands out particularly for the position of the winding crown and small seconds dial, in the left-handed position: the bridge protecting the winding crown, an unmistakable element of the Luminor collection which ensures water-resistance to 100 meters.
The sandwich dial (it consists of two superimposed discs) is protected by a sapphire crystal, with anti-reflection treatment.
Through the window of the back, also made of sapphire crystal, the Panerai OP XI calibre can be admired. It is an automatic mechanical movement which will operate for a period of 56 hours, when the spring barrel is fully wound. The Luminor Marina Militare is manufactured in a limited series of 1000 units. Ref PAM 00217 1000 Units
Luminor Base Left-Handed

The Luminor Base range features this year the Left-Handed model (for left-handers) and undergoes an evolution introducing the sandwich dial for all models belonging to the Historic Collection. Inspired directly by Panerai's military models of the past, these dials were designed to guarantee the best legibility of time information even at great depths.
Through the sapphire crystal back one can admire the Panerai OP X calibre, a hand-wound movement now presented with a completely different finish compared to the previous editions: the bridges, with Cotes de Geneve decoration, the polished blue-coloured screws, and the swan neck system for the regulation of the active length of the balance spring. The large-sized buckle draws inspiration from the one used in the 1940s, with its familiar trapezoidal design and the name Panerai engraved upon it. Ref PAM 00219
Panerai Luminor Chrono 1000M Slytech

Panerai has dedicated this special edition of the Chrono 1000M to Sylvester Stallone, who cooperated in the design phase of this watch of generous size. The actor indeed follows the Panerai production very closely being one of the first fans of the brand.
For this edition, limited to 500 pieces for the black dial and 300 for the white dial versions, Sylvester Stallone has renounced all payment, deciding to give the whole proceeds to The Heart of a Child Foundation.
This is a model adapted to professional use, capable of surviving a depth of 1,000 metres with its use of the helium valve and screw-down chronograph push-pieces. The titanium case, with a diameter of 47 millimetres, is enhanced by the steel device protecting the winding crown and bezel for measuring the time of immersion. The Luminor Chrono 1000M Slytech is fitted with the Panerai OP XII calibre, an automatic movement coming with C.O.S.C. Chronometer Certificate. Ref PAM 00202
Panerai Radiomir Base

The Historic Panerai collection now features a brand-new model: the Radiomir Base, the evolution of the Black Seal of 2004.
Both are developments of the same case, 45 millimetres in diameter, with removable wire loop strap attachments which was inspired by the first Officine Panerai watch of 1938.
The dial is made still more elemental by the omission of the small seconds dial at 9 o'clock and is the sandwich type.
Inspired directly by Panerai's military models of the 1940s, these dials consist of two superimposed plates, with the lower one covered with a fine layer of luminous material designed to guarantee the best legibility of time information even at great depths.
