Big Bang" is a fated name for a watch whose powerful statement glorifies the ultimate watchmaking brand with the singular and timeless design: HUBLOT.

In 1980, Hublot unexpectedly teamed gold with rubber to give birth to a unique timepiece.

Twenty-five years later, the brand has reinterpreted its very DNA with a fresh exploration of its guiding principles: The novel fusion of materials such as gold and ceramic, Kevlar and rose gold, tantalum or rubber – and the fusion of movements combining the Tradition of Swiss Horology with the Visionary Art of 21st century Watchmaking.

"Big Bang" is the first watch to feature lateral recognition. The sides of the "Big Bang" make it stand apart from other timekeepers due to two aspects.

Firstly, the amazing natural black rubber Hublot strap that has symbolised the brand ever since its creation appears to pass directly through the body of the watch due to the clever addition of a Kevlar insert, and secondly, the multi-layered construction of its case that allows a play on materials.

"Big Bang" is the quintessential key to the new Hublot Fusion concept. A "Big Bang" of grandiose proportions conceals the Hublot’s timeless sportiness and elegance so worthy of admiration. The case has been enlarged to 44.5 mm, the angles are sharper and the play of superimposed layers around the lugs rests on the brand’s 4 mainstays: Swiss Watch making Tradition, the Visionary Art of Watch making, the Fusion of materials and state-of-the-art technology, and Aesthetic innovation.

On the technical side, "Big Bang" houses the new Jaquet 8144 mechanical chronograph movement with automatic winding mechanism, visible through a transparent back.

The watch’s components include a circular-grained bottom-plate, polished satin-finish bridges with chamfered edges, black PVD screws and an oscillating weight sporting the Hublot colour scheme, made entirely of Tungsten and given a dimpled finish, also treated in black PVD.

To complete the fusion of unusual materials, Hublot has added a dial in stamped carbon and an enlarged bezel in ceramic now adorned with 6 sunken screws, polished and blocked with ‘H’-shaped slots.

To crown this bold visual statement, a double-face anti-reflection crystal underlines the highly contemporary appearance, while the crown and rectangular heads of the push-pieces have natural black rubber inserts thoroughly in keeping with the "Big Bang" concept.

Another major innovation of the Hublot "Big Bang" is the new Hublot deployant clasp and rubber strap, now made adjustable to adapt instantly to different wrist sizes, with no loss of the timekeeper’s essential comfort or ultra-functionality.

"Big Bang" will be launched in 2 different Editions: The first in 18 K red gold and the second, in 18K white gold, each with a ceramic bezel and a Kevlar lug ring.

hublot in French means 'porthole' and the company has a rich history being established by creator Carlo Crocco who was orn in the family of Italian watchmakers.

Crocco designed his first watch in 1967 and in 1980, he established his company MDM Geneve to create watch above fashion whose elegant and sporty design would be appreciated, the world over.

Hublot watches have adorned several hands from the celluloid industry like Jamie Fox, Michael Douglas, Penelope Cruz, Andy Wahrol among others.

Some leading personalities of the world like Gerhard Schroeder, Ivana Trump, Celine Dion, Domnique Wavre, Christophe Lambert, HM King Juan Carlos, Jacques Chirac, Pat Riley, Alicia Keys, Luciano Pavarroti, King Karl Gustaf, Yuko Ando and Sylvester Stallone have been freezed on the company website sporting a Hublot on momentous occasions, in recent history.
