If your gonna speculate on upside than you are going to get burned at least 1/2 the time if not more...
No matter how well you know the brand... your going to get spanked sometimes.
If your gonna speculate on a very good bet ( Patek for instance ) then you will pay a premium for that more safe outcome up front.
The market will dictate the value of the watch regardles of it's having a "special editions" label or not...
If you know you are going to get burned at least 1/2 the time than at least enjoy ride and buy watches that "sing to you"... to turn a phrase...
Otherwise you are just investing and than it does not matter about the watch at all, as there should be no emotion whatsoever involved..just cold hard specualtion...
But that it's not a hobby anymore it's work
