Taking the money out of equation which is sometimes difficult in the whole contex of things I would say they are difficult to compare in the same realm.   Let me try to elaborate.

For me PP is classic, elaborate & high end tradition timepices that although are not always on forefront of innovation it is always a leader in high horology collectable pieces.

JLC on the other hand is as well a manufacture with long history tradition, but is with respect to their historical tradition they are constantly persuing innovation in both of their movements & timepiece designs.

So I find them both to be great in their own realm, yet very different in their respective aspects.
