I am not the type to go for a watch that is made for a car which I do not own, but there is a first in everyone's life.
The JLC AMVOX 2 (as for the Amvox 1) is made in association with Aston Martin, I like those cars but it is watches that I like and collect first. At first I had a dilemma with those pieces because I do not have the car to go with it, but to me JLC being one of the rare true manufacture, the association was not important as I truly like their timepieces and their many innovations. Anyway I find a way to get my new watch his loved partner :-), my watch together with a 1:8 Aston Martin
Hopefully one day I will get the car to be bigger than my watch ;-)

where most co-branding did not result in any innovation, the A-II is the total exception and therefore I too decided to purchase this one. It may also be easily corrected by getting the actual AM car, but unfortunately they cannot be imported into Israel :)
Oh, BIG congrats on the new A-II, good to see they have solved the problems with the coating!
Cheers,

and this is why I too overlooked the co-branding issue.
Yes, JLC finally succeeded to coat those pieces perfectly, reliably, and most of all serviceable. Unlike many 'PVD' watches, this piece can return to factory for a re-treatment of the coating without either replacing the case or being unable to re-treat the surface. But I can already tell you that the process they have used appears and feels robust and durable!

I really adore the AMVOX 1 and 2 and would love to have one of those pieces in my modest collection some day.
I dont like the car associations either and would have an IWC Ti Ingenieur if not for the MB/AMG association with it. (maybe with a Porsche badge i would be all over it

Sahalik (as my grandmother used to say in arabic) ! Congrats on this stunning piece Yves !!! Creativity, innovation, beauty...whatever you call it, this piece has it all !!!! LOVE IT !
Don't own an Aston Martin either (most specialists say beautiful cars but shitty mechanics anyway) but this co-branding is a great one for sure....
Best,
Ben

Thanks for sharing! I don't own the car either, but agree that this one is an exception to the co-branding and stands on it's own merits. Congratulations on a fine machine.
