Today I see that a good friend is in trouble. He is experiencing something that affects him and he cannot find an explanation to a situation he is confronted with.
Price is the trouble, I think that all of us have limits to how far we can go to meet that price. Being that this trouble is related to our 'luxurious way of life' the damage is only about one meeting with his limits. Only price is the new weapons in our today's world, so when one see or realize that he is missing the bullets that will soften the 'injuries' the true values then resurface. Are we to be a victim of a pricing system that some abuse when in power to the point of upsetting and breaking established relationships. Yes, because the play is based and calculated on our sentiments and emotions. In the case I have in mind it is a bit more than that, it is about a price that evolutes on the trust and value you placed in a product a brand. Is this a new form of crime? do we ought to stand aside quietly in fear of being seen to not appertaining to the system? Is it only about being on the list of few privileged few. New wars indeed! In our historical wars one side of it is that it united people, in the pricing system it only isolate each and every one that make a justified complain or ask for an explanation, Why? Not socially correct? Not economically correct? Why does one from a complaint or a justification request needs to find that he his isolated in fighting an unjustified practice. Is Greed taking our human side away? Many values have been destroyed for the benefit of integrating everyone in our world, will the same principle be applied to Money, or does money justifies most of us to lose our freedom, respect and integrity to those that take a justified fight because the 'pain' is too hard to accept? A big debate it is, but I will stand high to protect any time my friendship and relationship rather than be on the payroll of greed! Or being left with no answers, all alone, made to look like a disrespected foul! Nicholas, I feel you sorrow, I am disgusted by your recent experience and the attitude of others. If you need me, even if I have no need to add this here for you, I am right behind and in front of you, anytime needed! Yves Odier

And share with me that trully bad experience. Yes, there are more serious querells to do, to fight against more serious problems than mine. I'm very conscient of that, as my profession leads me to know and live that each day. BUT, when someone or something injuries your passion!... BUT, when I read some reactions that i deeply don't understand!.... BUT, when I remain with no official answer, in atotal and, for me, impolite, silence!... BUT, when I am answering and criticizing my own choice and passionate love for a brand!... Finally, too many "BUT" for me. Sorry for all this mess but that's what I think and feel. THANKS, YVES To be my friend... Finally, friendship is of course much more important than watches. Nicolas

Mistreated by Panerai Paris Service centre, or by friends, at the end of the day - we always have our freedom of choice AND that is the important thing (I remember few years back, stuck in the middle of Paris in a taxi/metro/airport strike, no freedom there!)... BUT, must admit, we keep coming back, no? Just a bunch of masochists I guess? be good Nicolas my friend! Asi

... i would be able to laugh hysterically about it. i can't believe the OP service center guys really can keep a straight face when saying that they want to charge 5k$+ for a dial swap and the service of a dubois depraz movement ... this sounds like some practical joke to me. the tragic part is that apparently those jokesters are serious about those fees, and that a truly passionate fan of the brand gets repeatedly stuped (step 1: OOR, step 2: 203, step 3: service fees, step 4: stay tuned). way to cater to your customer base. nico, i advise to photocopy your naked butt and send it to the OP service center with all the best wishes and a polite decline that they touch your mare nostrum. hang in there. ciao, johannes

A deep and warm thanks...It just makes me thinking about reconsidering my collection and some "friends". I still love watches ,and I 'll never change my feeling about true friendship that I' found here with some of you, even I never saw them physically. I will turn the page of this sad event as fast as I was angry . THANKS,another time!NIKOUMOUK.
