I have been in an lot of pain these past couple of weeks.

I fired my doctor of many years because I truly believe that she was not taking me seriously. She put me on medication that truly was not helping at all and the more I tried to persist that I wanted another drug, the more she'd just keep pushing it on me. I called her office and wanted to let her know that even using the highest dose allowed didn't help and I guess she got her panties in a bunch because her idea, only idea by the way, didn't work. So, I went to another doctor and within a week he gave me better pain medicine, ordered an MRI of my spine, discovered a herniated disc that is deforming my spinal cord, and got me an appointment the the Spine Center for Aug 22nd.

I also went to a chiropractor who also got a copy of the MRI report and T9 is the one affected and he says it explains how the pain could travel to the chest, especially given the fact that it is pushing on the spinal cord and affecting the nerves.

If any one of the many "Specialists" that I saw when I was in the hospital (twice)would have ordered an MRI back in January or Feburary, I'd be better already. I can't believe that I have been in all this pain for 8 months for something relatively simple and fixable. I had a couple of doctors at the hospital acutally tell me that this was all in my head. It just goes to show the ignorance of some doctors out there.

So, my lesson learned is that you truly know your own body and when you feel in your heart that someting is wrong, you just have to keep at it until you find a doctor who takes you and your health seriously.

I am hoping that I can get a date soon for the surgical procedure that will need to be done to help me with this problem.

I appreciate all of you being there for me and encouraging me to keep at it.

Love,
Val
Val, very sorry you had to suffer so long, but

this. We take our good health for granted, and we also take a doctor's word for being The Word.
Those days when it was vocational to be a Doctor are gone. Too much at stick today, liabilities, rules, regulations etc... it makes their job a profession I guess.

Anyway I am happy to hear that most probably all or part will soon be sorted. There is nothing I can do to make it better except, I am missing you!

I hope that very soon that jail sentence of 8 months will be just about bad dream!

In the meantime, plenty, and I mean plenty kisses on the right and on the left :-)

Talk to you soon, Yves.
I am very, very happy for you Val and I wish you super speed

So sorry that you have been in so much pain. Very happy to hear that you may have found the problem. I don't have a lot of confidence in most doctors either. Hope you are all better soon.
Love,
Michael

There is nothing like back pain, well cracked ribs are not a blast either, but pain involved with everything you do, sit, sleep, stand, walk, run.. I hate it. I really hope the best for you, it really is a shame about the MRI, that was one of the first things they had me get. I guess somepeople truly hate those machines, me, I feel asleep in it, can't recall the last time in my life I felt that protected.

I hope you're on the way to a speedy recovery.

Cw.
Hey,Val ..Thanks.Now I know that there is something worst than )

propery diagnosed. I know this has been a trying time for you with all the suffering you had to go through, but finally there is some light at the end of the tunnel. I am sure that once you receive proper care & medication you'll be in no time your old spunky self :-)

Take solice in that they at least finally did somehow right by you just because many others never get the proper treatment & live in pain & agony for the rest of their lifetime. Sorry I know this isn't much help, but I'm trying to put it in some kind of wierd perspective. Look at it this way soon it will change for the better .... now just think how poor Jeff feels - there is no practically not much help for the little thing he has ;-)
Hey Val! well it's good that you found the problem!
