Being that we secured our hotel next door to Nicolas we were all set upon our arrival to so Nicolas was already waiting on us.
Although he was on company time always talking to some new clients, someone has to play for the new watches ;-) ;-) ;-)
That didn’t mean we didn’t have time for some cigarette & drinks ;-)
We even played with his funny rabbit & dog Um almost setting up a death match ;-)

We had plenty on our sightseeing schedule so we reconvened later on with the whole Parisian crew. (From L to R: Me, Amarili, Nicolas, Antoine & Sandy) Some of us had finally a chance to meet in person & reintroduce over couple of quick bottles of some wine.
As well we took this opportunity to reunite 3 PAM40’s perhaps for the last time together.
Needles to say Nicolas was again all excited by all the Panerai talk … talk about the scene from “Shinning”!

We had good times translating our words from English to French but as the time on the Mare showed we were already late for dinner.
Action shot a la “Killing Zoe!” ;-)
Finally reached our destinatation “La Bastide Odeon” a really great restaurant near by Jardin de Luxemburg.
For a second we thought Cliff was here as well ;-)
Yup we were happy cause we were about to EAT!!!
Some crazy cold soup with walnuts, mushrooms, ravioli & some kind of watch LOL
Ahh duck leg with some root vegetable in caramelized jam sauce. Yummie
God look at this face – can you imagine having dinner with this character? LOL ah but Sandy was enjoying the dinner & that’s all that counts.

Me I was all about this Bombe de chocolate again while digging in with this weird watch ;-)
Yup nothing like a good cigar after such nice meal. Perhaps I even buy logo tonight ;-)
Again that shady looking guy next to me :-) ;-) ;-)
We even had a little table shot just for our friends – gee 5 people and 6 watches talk about packing light for dinner ;-)
Time to hit some after dinner digestives – hey anyway we can :-)
Hmm a personal message to someone special or what? This little piggy went to Paris … LMAO
The day after during our sightseeing we took a nice little lunch break & the brasserie recommended by the locals & we were very happy that we did.
Me stuffing my face with foie gras.
Then leg of duck & osso bucco ;-) Ah clean plate, full stomach & a cigar I never had before – perfect!
Just a nice photo on a bridge over Seine just past Louvre overlooking the gorgeous views on both banks.
Ahh Nicolas penthouse finally!! :-)
But before my favorite store – can you believe they had all vintages some dating back to early 1900’s all available for sale. I tell you I could leave some serious coin in there.
Finally we made it back in time for dinner @ our host’s. Pasta prepared by a true Italian cook Amarili was delicious.
Although it made Nico acting all crazy.
We all enjoyed it including the little fat, although “tres joli” dog UM ;-)
But this wouldn’t be Paris if we wouldn’t have one more dessert & kir royal for a nightcap at our neighborhood café.
Yup & another nice habano too boot.
Next morning we went to check out the famous Moufftard market. It was like a dream come true for anyone who likes the finest & freshest natural ingredients.
Truly a market to get anything you desire, something for a gourmand in all of us.
Sandy almost had a epilepsy attack from staring at 6 different kind rotisserie birds.
Cookies, sweets, croissants, cakes, roulades & every kind of breads were in full force.
I don’t need to even tell you about the insane selection of pasteurized & natural cheeses in just this store. If there was only a way to transport these smells you would be eternally stick to this picture.
At the produce market: everything from super sweet vine tomatoes to porcini mushrooms.
I was stuck by that butchers shop that also did spit roasting pigs, birds & all kind of delicacies.
Yup after all this we just ended up stuffing ourselves like pigs & forgot to take pics until the cigar time :-)
Everywhere we went we find little places where one could stop & enjoy the moment.
Ever seen a building facade made out of different foliage?
This needed a closer pic.
This one is sentimental - Our first Metro photo ;-)
Always good to have a Laguiole handy & a nice bottle in the room ;-)
St German Blvd has some of the more famous bistros (former hanging places of famous artiste and writers such Hemingway, etc).
We caved in to the hype & decided to try out one of those institutions “Brasserie Lipp” & their golden standards. Hmm Stak Tartare.
Couple of bottles of Chateau de Fonbel pricey for this so-so vintage, but in the end goooood!
All this red meat & wine made me very gay ;-)
We ended up with a night cap at a local famous jazz club “Le Bilboquet”, with live Jazz band kicking it up to high gear which made for a very memorable atmosphere.
That night the view of Eiffel was admittedly more blurry.
The next day was the day I forgot to charge the camera & was a bit hangover as evident here.
But by the end of the day I was ready for more ;-)
Again a fabulous little family restaurant “Le Cosi” with specialties from the south including Corsica.

After fantastic meal of braised beef & fish we even had an interesting conversation …
… nah we didn’t who we kidding, we were just posing for a photo ;-)
