The Mainspring was invented in the late 1400's (first in France, then Italy). This invention made possible the first portable watches. The mainspring is a kinetic generator of force by deformation of the blade. Made of: forged steel, Steel - Currently: alloyed steel and nickel - stainless & unbreakable Yves.
