PAM 253 is 44mm Fiddy case so it might wear smaller then a >>>
regular 44mm Luminor case. Being that it's pretty much the same as 212 Chrono (well added hobnail dial with blue accented Regatta imprint and second hand) IMO you should try that one to see how you like it in regrads to fit & styling. PAM 253 design wise is much more interesting then the regular 212 4 sure, although for me (like most new additions) doesn't do much especially considering the retail price asked.
Although I have to say nothing beats a little bit reshuffling ... I wish I could be more adventrous just like you brother ;-)
