No need to try.. one likes what he likes and that's freedom >
and one does what he has to to do and that's freedom too!
It is not about joining into anything...
I understand why you and many of us like the Panerai watches, yes a huge history, yes its simplicity, and yes a phenomenal well balance watch. To say the least, Like you I have been there for the very same reasons. As you know, there is so much too much of the other stuff like; who you know, who to kiss, how to be, who to talk and not to talk, where to be and not to be and so much more that at the end one has the right to choose to join into something else perhaps a little less stressful, a little less frustrating, a little less politicised, a little more rewarding, a little more relaxing, and... A great deal more Horological. We all have our limits, and when it's 'OOR' :-) (out of reach – not financially thank God for that...) then in my case I have or can easily find other priorities than pursuing a priority, and even more so when politics and communications are being dictated!
As for others watches you may consider, I know you are well informed on this topic, I am no one to tell you what you would or not like.
Yves.
PS: As you can see I am still hurt, but I am moving on!
