more to come...i'll post the link after i'm done with them....i need to upload some of the watch pictures for tonite chat...i hope to find time later this afternoon...
I want to thank Ian and Max for making our trip a memorable one. i want to thank all of you for the infinite knowledge you guys have in the watch field. it was a pleasure meeting Carol, Mike, Mark, Joe, Ian, Max. it was great to see Jon again! Violeta and I had the best time with you guys riding the mMgic Bus on the 12km trips, the dinners and lunches we had together and with some amazing watchmakers, the pieces we've got to see and handle, the scenery and the smells of Switzerland...everything is deeply imbeded in our minds.
Our thanx go to the folks at J*D that gave their precious time to be the hosts with the mosts! All of them were very gracious and patient with a bunch of nerds. I don't know why the ride in that bus reminded me of a movie with some mental patients that get to go out on the town. That's how I felt. Like in a story. To see those watches, to meet the folks behind J*D, to listen to the looong stories tha Ian told us in 3 minutes, to see young watchmakers and old ones creating breathtaking pieces, to have Max that knew everybody and the pieces he is collecting, to have Joe and his amazement at the brown cows and the insights of watch collecting in Singapore, to have Jon and Mike sharing their army experiences, to have Mark and his crazy stories from a planet far, far, away, to have Carol and her soft voice and see the joy in her eyes when she realized that she's buying another J*D, etc...All of this simply overwhelmed us...thank you for allowing us to be around you guys for 2 days...we do not usually travel in close proximity with other peoples, but with you my friends was a joy!!!
enough with the emotional stuff and lets start with the pics...sorry for my crappy photographic skills but this is what i have...enjoy...
Wednesday morning the crew at the train station waiting for next shuttle to Geneva...
in Geneva on our way to the boutique...but first a quick stop at Antiquorum...
some amazing pieces...

how cool is to be able to see through a mechanical watch?
an interesting Rolex...
my favorite piece...a 8 day Marine Chronometer...
some nice clocks...

finally we found the J*D boutique after wandering aimlessly through Geneva...it was hard to find it under some scafolding...we managed though...
some of the watches that were on display...not for long though...few minutes later we were all handling these gorgeous pieces...does anyone how much for a kidney nowadays?

the white gloves on and the crew started drooling over those watches...
some of us were paying attention to the boutique stuff rather than on the watches...![]()

three enamel GS
Violeta managed to get a gorgeous stra for her GD....
then the goodies started to arrive from the back...
mmmm, Aventurine....
two aventurine and two meteorite dials...

some nice bling...

Spectralite stole Joe's heart...and ours as well...

everybody is really, really happy...some for getting anice grey strap, some for talking with attractive staff members, and some for taking nice pictures...
Mike pondering if that's his next piece...
Joe is saying "if it is blue, then it is for you!"...
a bunch of different colored straps...
the group...all smiles...

finally we've met Ian at the flower clock to jump in the minivan and to head out to Anita's workshop...
i hope you enjoy it....stay tuned for next part...
