but i will go with the trend and show some watches that i really really dig. now you know my taste is a little weird at times, and i have posted stuff like parmigiani minute repeaters, urwerk pvd'd platinum pieces and AP's new concept millenary. but here aresome offbeat watches that i think are great. i don't even know how much they cost :o) 1. mcgonigle brothers tourbillon. i am not a fan of tourbillon watches, but this one is just cool. they are pretty much handmade piece by piece by those weirdo brothers up in ireland. the picture is not the best, and i would prefer the platinum case, but you can check their website here for a more in-depth look. 2. the original '70ies patek nautilus jumbo. there are few patek watches that i actually like, and this is the funkiest of them. pretty wearable size (~40mm, i think), stick markers and none of the hideous complications they put on the nautilus these days. plus the structured dial. this watch is not exactly pretty, but has a cool retro feel. just the kind of watch i would wear driving a lamborghini espada :o) and here's the lambo to go with it: 3. ooouh, shiny. remember back in the days when the roger dubuis designs were a bit more subdued? this one is an absolute beauty, imho. 40mm rg monopoussoir chrono with a vintage lemania movement. it's one of the reasons i always check out the 'used pieces'-section at the chicago tourneau :o) cheers, johannes
