A few weeks ago when Johannes visited me I had a chance to try out his flavor of the month the Cartier Santos. I am not a huge fan of squared cases or roman numerals but was quite surprised with the way this piece ended up. Hosting provided by FotoTime At first the most striking detail is the size of it. This baby is LARGE & you would never expect it to be just at first glance. Hosting provided by FotoTime The second thing that surprised me was how well it wears & fits on the wrist. Due to its curved case and fantastically adjustable deployant system the fit on the wrist was just phenomenal (especially considering the size of it). Thirdly the finish of the case is designed and executed just great even if is "squarish" kind ;-) The matte brushed case (inluding crown guards & curved lugs) in combination with highly polished bezel set of the simple dial design and provide a striking, yet very clean classic at first sight, look to the whole watch.
