They are rich in photos, and they come in 3 languages (French / Italian / English). It is sold bundled with a guidance to 'how much for each models'. The author & editor have been maintaining the 2 volumes up to date since their first edition.

Another source for valuable information of fine time pieces is ‘auctions' books’. Antiquorum, Sothebys, Christies, publish some amassing information of their related auctions. Often written by experts, Vintage and Modern timepieces are fully detailed.
If you accumulate those books, you will find that over the years you would have an encyclopaedia on the topic, but what’s important ‘valuable references on many watches’ models.
