BIRTH OF A GREAT AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT ETA A07.111 In April 2004 ? ETA SA, a company of the Swatch Group, presents its new automatic movement Swiss Made Mecaline Spécialité 16½´´´ ETA A07.111. This new automatically wound movement ETA A07.111, which is based on the caliber 13¼´´´ ETA 7750 without the chronograph functions, shows the hours, minutes and seconds with hands mounted at the center. This new caliber is also equipped with a date aperture, the dimensions (3.30 x 2.60 mm) of which have been adapted to the size 16½´´´, starting from the basic caliber 7750 (aperture: 2.80 x 2.10 mm). The oscillating weight, too, has been adapted to the dimensions of size 16½´´´. The important bevel allows the creation of very elegant watch-cases. In addition to its dimensions (Ø 36.60 mm ? H 7.90 mm) and its power reserve of more than 48 hours, this automatic movement is characterized by the robustness of the basic caliber ETA 7750. The manufacturers of large watches, which continue to be very trendy, will be able to rely on this new caliber, whose performances and esthetic design are equal to its large dimensions.
